Where to find us:
The Viking Planet is easily accessible by foot at Fridtjof Nansens Plass 4, located close to the City Hall in the center of Oslo. It only takes a few minutes to walk from Nationaltheateret station or Aker Brygge. To find the easiest arrival from your departure point, we recommend using Google Maps or Ruter.no
Guide App:
Before your enter, we recommend that you download our Guide App «The Viking Planet». It is free and available on the App Store and Google Play. The app is available in 12 languages and provides additional information about the various attractions at the center.
At the center:
You can buy tickets online before arrival or directly at the counter when you arrive. We recommend 1 to 1½ hours in order to visit all the attractions at the center. Check opening hours below on our website to plan your visit. For an overview of all our attractions click here
The documentary at Norvegr and the 270-degree cinematic experience at The Helmet start every 15 minutes from 10.00 until closing time and have a duration of about 12 minutes. We recommend starting the visit with the introductory film about the Viking Age on Norvegr.
While most content is appropriate for children, the VR experience is not recommended for those under 12. The VR game has a 12-year age limit.
